Problem: Youth Unemployment & Food Insecurity
Nigeria’s food insecurity for the past four decades is a direct result of neglect on food production when oil has become the major export product. Food is currently produced by local farmers who currently lack capital, skills, energy and other viable ingredients to produce sufficient quantities that will meet the requirement of the growing population. Mirroring these struggles is the ever rising unemployment and underemployment rates for 18-35 year olds across Nigeria.
Once again, the neglect of investment outside of the oil industry has limited the economic opportunities for young people across the country
